Rivet Contacts

Overview of Rivet Contacts

Rivet contacts are our main products, and you can choose from a wide variety of materials and shapes. By using our heading machine, we can make the contacts with either a single material or composite materials into various shapes to meet customer needs. Besides, we can bring you the benefit of cost reduction by saving more silver material with our unique technology. Materials can also be selected from the melting method, internal oxidation method, and powder metallurgy method. Usually, electrical contact is mainly used for relays and switches, but it is also widely used for small electromagnetic switches and breakers.
In addition, Chugai Electric Industry Co., Ltd. is also able to do gold and silver plating for electrical contacts. It is also possible to add a notch to the shank or the head to identify the material for the contacts with the same shape. Adding a notch to the shank could also improve the staking condition.

2Disc Contacts
Disc Contacts

Overview of disc Contacts

You can choose from a wide variety of shapes or projection types for this contact. We can also offer disc contact when the dimension and shape cannot be fulfilled by rivet contact or when the required load is high. Disc contacts are usually welded on to a base metal by brazing or spot welding. Meanwhile we also provide suitable brazing filler material for the disc contacts. Materials can be selected mainly from the melting method (post-oxidation method) and the powder metallurgy method.
Disc conatacts are mainly used for medium to large electromagnetic switches and breakers. We also provide different types of brazing filler material.

Overview of Assembled Contact

We support our customer to do assembly for various contacts with various welding technologies. We have many type of products such as assembled contact on the base metal by using different welding techniques (furnace brazing, carbon brazing, direct bonding, etc.) or assembled contact by staking. All the processes such as staking, brazing, welding are conducted in Chugai Electric Industry Co., Ltd. This could help you to reduce outsourcing cost, in-house manufacturing cost, and scrap generation. We also can manufacture a wide variety of shapes and materials for medium to high loads.

4Tape Contact
Tape Contact

Overview of Tape Contact

We mainly use pre-oxidized materials and have a variety of shapes that can be used for staking and welding. The silver or silver alloy, which is the contact material, is clad or brazed onto a hoop-type copper or copper alloy material. It is mainly used in the small size and low load range, but depending on the material, it is also used in the medium to high load range. It is also possible to deliver in cut-piece condition upon request. Gold plating is also available for tape contact.
